THE SHIRWELL MISSION COMMUNITY

A Mission Community in the Diocese of Exeter

Church services at our Church are suspended until further notice and the church building is locked  to comply with the Church of England Covid-19 regulations, however this hasn't prevented us from meeting in other ways to keep in touch with everyone.

Rosie has been proactive in emphasising how important it is to keep in contact with the parishes in these unprecedented times so one of the first arrangements made was to hold an informal 'Coffee Get Together' on a Monday morning at 11am through the Zoom platform so we may keep up to date with our Mission Community family.

Also on a Sunday morning at 10am for those who prefer to use the telephone,  a conference call  arrangement has been set up for a short Sunday morning service (Morning Prayer) followed at 11am by an online version using Zoom for those who are more familiar with the computer, i pad or mobile phone systems.

It  has been a learning curve for us all with one or two  'small hitches' along the way, BUT each time we use the systems considerable improvements are being made!

Our Easter Day services took place with these two systems to celebrate this important feast. Also these services are being recorded and input on the Shirwell Mission Community of Churches website. If anyone would like more details of these arrangements please contact Rosie who will be pleased to help/have a chat with you.

Fund Raising:-   All fundraising has been suspended until further notice and as soon as we're allowed to engage with this we will let you all know.

Help is at Hand -  Our Support Group - if anyone should find  they may need a little help in any way with shopping etc etc during this time of isolation please contact the following:-  e mail ken.mag@btinternet.com or call 01598 763207 and from our long list of helpers we're sure we will find help for you.

In the meantime please all take care of yourselves, stay well and keep safe in these challenging times of isolation.
